Chance to Win an Ipod Nano

My iPod Nano is probably the best thing I own at the moment. From the moment you pick it up, you just know it’s the thing that has been missing from your life for so long; the way it rests in your hand, the weigh it slips so beautifully into your pocket with it’s slimline design and the way the wheel rolls so smoothly under your thumb. That’s why Apple products are such quality, not only do they add lots of features and provide some of the best user interfaces ever created, but they present it in such a perfectly crafted way that they wouldn’t look out of place in the Louvre.

The nifty new video camera gets a surprising amount of use, considering that it is the first time I’ve owned an iPod with a camera built in. The quality isn’t to die for, but it gets the job done and plays back beautifully on the new even larger screen. Add in an FM radio, Nike+ and the choice of nine exuberant colours and this device becomes one of the most essential gadgets for any music lover or Apple fanboy. A definite buy, the iPod Nano just feels right.

Converting an exe File to a Screensaver

Most of the people think that converting an exe file to a screensaver is a tough task. However, the truth is that it is quite easy when you have the basic knowledge about the conversion process. All you need to have is a basic understanding of the Microsoft windows operating system. There are some steps and tips to keep in mind while dealing with a screensaver and exe conversion.

The first thing to do is opening the folder having the file to be converted using the windows explorer. After opening it with the explorer, just select or highlight the file for which conversion is required. If you are single clicking the file for selecting it, just press the F2 button whereas if you are right clicking the file for selecting it, just go to the rename option in the resulting popup menu. You must change its extension name from ‘.exe’ to ‘.scr’. Now right click the file again and select the ‘install’ option. You may not believe that you have just changed an exe file to a screensaver.

When you are trying to construct a screensaver in ideal programming language, you must make it sure that the created screensaver does not have a frame, is at the maximum possible size and is on the top position. You must also make it a point to prepare functions in an event or loop so that the screensaver can be re-used when the user has become idle. However, if you are trying to use the screensaver in the form of a normal slide show, you must study the Microsoft DirectX to allow the transition between media.  Normally interaction with a computer will not result in the closing of the custom screensaver and these events should be set-up by you. However, converting an exe file into a screensaver is not challenging if you keep in mind these tips and steps.
